ADG               32

3 SOUTH       14

After a dismal performance last week, ADG bounced back and stomped 3 South, keeping its playoff hopes alive.

Damon Stathatos opened the game with a bruising 40 yard touchdown run, setting the tone for the remaininder of the game. He is easily the team’s Most Valuable Player throughout the first four games, efficiently managing the team’s numerous NFL-like characters.

Other scores were completed by Keller Richalds, Chris Aguglia, and unfortunately Bottle-caps.

ADG was stunned with a guest-appearance from the artist formerly known as Mildo and was privileged to witness his two dropped passes up the middle. It is rather difficult to catch a ball when you’re running in jeans and smoking Reds during the game.

The team is considering measures to punish Tyler Brock for staying out too late and not showing up to the game.

Game Balls go to: Stathatos, Randall Poore

Game Goat: B-Caps because he looks like Gumby and moves like a clown on stilts.

Moment of the Game: Keller Richalds show-boating before he catches the ball, dropping it and coming up with a gash on his forehead. He was benched for the rest of the game due to his antics… Probably needs stitches too, but that’s karma.

MSB 7
ADG 6 (OT)

On a day when all stars should have been lined up for the victory, the boys of ADG were defeated 7-6 in overtime to MSB. Prior to the game was an official name change from “Red and Gold” to “ADG”, which was made possible by accomplishing 150 hours of fraternity involvement.

The game started off with an ESPN Web Gem interception by Damon Stathatos, thus smothering MSB’s opening drive. Although injuring his foot and jamming his thumb, Stathatos remained in the game and never missed a play. Chris Aguglia followed suit with Brian Urlacher-esque completions to Tyler Brock, Stathatos, and Keller Westmoreland. Although the first half looked promising, it ended in a 0-0 stalemate.

Second half remained scoreless as overtime loomed upon the horizon. With ADG ball first, Aguglia scrambled on 4th and goal for a touchdown. ADG missed the extra point conversion, and the rest is history.

One word sums up the game: sloppy-display-of-pure-athletic-talent-marred-by-penalties-and-group-discohesion.

No game balls are awarded. Actually, Brian will get one for his three false starts, Alex for his Matt Millen style of management, Joe for his lack of competitive spirit, Brock/Keller/Stathatos for their unsuccessful attempts to pull a Keyshawn and “get the damn ball”, and the rest of the team for providing 40 minutes of comedy.

ADG faces two must-win games in consecutive weeks against “3 South” and “Law Dogs” in order to reach the playoffs.

ADG Football Post-Game Analysis - 10/1/06
After a dismal performance last week, ADG Red and Gold bounced back and claimed their first win, defeating "3 South" 28-0.

The scoring rampage started on the first drive with Tyler Brock returning a punt 50 yards for a t.d.

The next offensive drive was capped by a 40 yard bomb to Tyler Brock from Damon Stathatos. The remaining 14 points were credited to Ryan Cullen and Mike Flynn.

On the defensive side of the ball, two words come to mind: Absolute Domination. The ADG defense did not give up a single first down, and held the opponent to negative net yardage. Sacks were credited to Ryan Cullen, Mike Flynn and Alex Shafirovich. We had efficient play from Danny van Scoy, Matt Fox and Brian Dillon.

Game Balls go to Tyler Brock, Chris Aguglia (rebounding from a separated shoulder) and the entire ADG defense.
